Where is Rönesans and who do we treat?
Rönesans Diş Hekimliği is a single-branch dental polyclinic in Serdivan, a district of Sakarya province in the Marmara region of northwest Türkiye (Turkey), east of Istanbul. The clinic provides implant treatment, aesthetic dentistry, orthodontics, root canal treatment, prosthetics and children’s dentistry. Patients can communicate with the clinic in Turkish, English and German. Most of our international patients come from Europe and the Middle East, and patients also come to us from many other countries around the world.
This page explains how treatment works if you live outside Türkiye – from your first message to follow-up after you return home – and what you should expect any clinic to explain before you travel.
How does the process work, step by step?
- Preliminary assessment – you send photos, X-rays and your questions on WhatsApp.
- Provisional plan – you receive an outline of the likely options and number of trips.
- Arrival and examination – an in-person examination and imaging confirm the final plan.
- Treatment days – appointments are spread across your stay, with time for healing and fittings.
- Return home – you leave with aftercare instructions once the final checks are done.
- Follow-up – you stay in touch on WhatsApp, and a local dentist can help with routine care.
What can be assessed before I travel?
You can send the following on WhatsApp to +90 532 363 49 54:
- clear photos of your teeth, both smiling and with your mouth open
- any recent X-rays, especially a panoramic X-ray (OPG) or a 3D scan
- a short description of what you would like to change
- your medical history and a list of the medicines you take
From this, the clinic can give you a preliminary view of the likely options and whether one or two trips might be needed. This helps you plan, but it is not a diagnosis. Photos and X-rays do not show everything – for example gum health, hidden decay or the exact bone volume – so the final treatment plan and cost are confirmed only after the in-person examination. Sometimes the plan changes at this stage; if it does, the reasons should be explained to you.
What happens when I arrive?
We provide VIP transfers from Istanbul’s airports and you can stay in partner bungalow accommodation in Sapanca. Transfer and accommodation are included in the treatment fee. Your arrival day usually looks like this:
- Pick-up: our driver meets you at the airport.
- Drive to Sapanca: a VIP car takes you to the partner bungalow accommodation in Sapanca. Depending on the airport and traffic, the journey usually takes 1.5 to 2 hours.
- Rest: you spend the first day settling in after the journey.
- Examination: the next day, your treatment starts with an examination at our clinic in Serdivan.
On treatment days, we also take you between your accommodation and the clinic.
Your first appointment is an examination of your teeth, gums and bite. Where needed – for example for implants – the clinic takes a cone-beam CT (CBCT) scan, which shows the jawbone in three dimensions. Digital impressions can be taken with an intraoral scanner instead of impression paste.
The dentist then explains the final plan: which treatments are recommended and why, the alternatives, the number of appointments and the cost. You should only agree to treatment once you understand it and your questions have been answered.
How long will I need to stay?
It depends on your treatment, and we plan the appointments around your travel dates. As a general guide, crowns and veneers usually need one trip of around a week, while dental implants usually need two trips several months apart, because the bone has to heal before the final teeth are made. We are open from Monday to Saturday and closed on Sundays. Lengths of stay, what to bring and language support are covered in more detail in planning your visit.
Can I combine treatment with a holiday?
You can, but it is usually better to do your sightseeing before treatment rather than after. After surgery or extensive dental work, you may need to avoid swimming, saunas, strong sun, alcohol and hard food for some days. Keep your schedule relaxed, allow time to rest in the evenings, and avoid booking your return flight on the same day as your last appointment.
What happens after I return home?
Before you leave, the dentist checks the result and gives you aftercare instructions. Once you are home, you can send questions and photos on WhatsApp. Routine check-ups and cleaning can be done by your local dentist, who will find copies of your X-rays and details of the treatment helpful. Read more about aftercare and follow-up.
What should I ask any clinic before booking?
Choosing a clinic abroad is a big decision. Whichever clinic you choose, it is reasonable to ask for the following before you travel:
- A written treatment and cost plan – listing each procedure, the number of teeth or implants, the materials and what is included.
- The name and qualifications of the dentist who will treat you, not only the name of the clinic.
- Implant records – the brand and type of any implant placed, so that another dentist can work on it in future.
- Copies of your records – X-rays, scans and a treatment summary to take home.
- Aftercare arrangements – how follow-up works once you are home, who answers your messages and in which language.
- Guarantee terms – what is covered, for how long, and whether travel costs are included if something needs to be redone.
- Health tourism authorisation – Türkiye’s Ministry of Health issues an International Health Tourism Authorisation Certificate to facilities serving international patients; you can ask whether a clinic holds one.
At Rönesans, you receive a written treatment and cost plan before treatment starts, listing each tooth with unit and total fees, and you know from the start which dentist will treat you. The make, model and batch number of your implant are recorded on the implant card you receive. Please ask us about copies of your records before you book; how follow-up works is explained on our aftercare and follow-up page.
Our treatments come with a conditional warranty for problems not caused by the patient; before treatment starts, we explain at your examination how long it lasts, what it covers and what it does not. If a problem covered by the warranty means you need to come back to the clinic, we cover your travel costs. We also hold the International Health Tourism Authorisation Certificate issued by the Turkish Ministry of Health (certificate no. ST-4374).
How is the cost of treatment decided?
There is no fixed price list, because the cost depends on your plan: the number of teeth or implants, any additional procedures, the materials chosen and the type of restoration. The cost is confirmed after your examination, once the treatment plan is clear. You can pay in cash or by credit card, in Turkish lira or in other currencies such as euros, pounds or dollars.
How do I get started?
Send a message on WhatsApp to +90 532 363 49 54 in English or German; the same number can be used for calls from abroad, and within Türkiye you can also call 444 9 734. During opening hours we answer messages in English and German within 15 minutes, and a native German speaker on our team handles communication in German. We are open Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 22:00 and on Saturday from 10:00 to 19:00, Türkiye time, and closed on Sundays.
