Planning your visit

In short

How long you need to stay in Türkiye depends on your treatment plan. As a general guide, crowns and veneers usually need one trip of about a week, while dental implants usually need two trips several months apart. Your exact schedule is confirmed after the examination. You can communicate with the clinic in English or German.

How long should I stay in Türkiye?

Your length of stay depends on your treatment plan, which is confirmed after the in-person examination. We plan the appointments around your travel dates. The table below is a general guide only, to help you think about dates before you have a plan.

Treatment Typical number of trips General length of stay
Check-up, cleaning, fillings One One to three days
Root canal treatment One Two to five days
Zirconia crowns or veneers One Around five to seven working days
Smile makeover One or more Depends on the treatments combined
Dental implants Usually two, several months apart Around five to seven days each
Full-arch implants Usually two, several months apart Around seven to ten days each
Orthodontics Several Months of treatment; ask how check-ups would work

A few practical points help when choosing dates:

  • Leave at least one spare day before your flight home for final adjustments.
  • The clinic is closed on Sundays, and Saturday hours are shorter.
  • After surgery, avoid planning a long journey on the same day.
  • Flexible return tickets are worth considering, in case your plan changes after the examination.

When is the clinic open?

The clinic is open Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 22:00 and on Saturday from 10:00 to 19:00. It is closed on Sundays and on the days of Ramazan Bayramı (Eid al-Fitr) and Kurban Bayramı (Eid al-Adha), whose dates change every year; it is open on other public holidays. All times are Türkiye time, which is UTC+3 all year round – three hours ahead of the UK in winter and two hours ahead in summer. Weekday evening hours can make it easier to fit appointments around your travel.

What should I bring?

  • Your passport or ID
  • Any recent dental X-rays or scans – digital copies are ideal
  • Your medical history, a list of your medicines and any allergies
  • Details of previous dental work, including implant cards if you already have implants
  • The contact details of your local dentist
  • Your travel insurance details

If you send X-rays and your medical history on WhatsApp before you travel, the clinic can review them in advance and you will spend less time on paperwork during your stay.

Which languages can I use?

You can communicate with us in English or German, as well as Turkish, both on WhatsApp at +90 532 363 49 54 before your trip and during your appointments. We answer messages in English and German within 15 minutes during opening hours, and a native German speaker on our team handles communication in German. If you would like a family member or friend to join your consultations, let us know in advance.

How does payment work?

Treatment costs depend on your plan and are confirmed after the examination. You can pay in cash or by credit card, in Turkish lira or in other currencies such as euros, pounds or dollars. We take a deposit before you book your flights. The amount depends on your planned treatment and is deducted from the treatment fee; we tell you the amount and how to pay it during the preliminary assessment on WhatsApp. Whether your health insurance contributes depends on your insurer and on the treatment you have, so please ask your insurer directly; we prepare all the documents your insurer asks for and hand them to you.

What about flights, accommodation and getting to Serdivan?

The clinic is in Serdivan, in Sakarya province, in the Marmara region of northwest Türkiye, east of Istanbul. The address is İstiklal Mahallesi, Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu Bulvarı No:13/A, 54055 Serdivan, Sakarya. If you arrive by car, the clinic has its own car park.

We provide VIP transfers from Istanbul’s airports to partner bungalow accommodation in Sapanca, where you can stay during your treatment. Depending on the airport and traffic, the drive usually takes 1.5 to 2 hours. You usually rest on the day you arrive, and your examination at the clinic takes place the next day. On treatment days, we also take you between your accommodation and the clinic. Transfer and accommodation are included in the treatment fee. It is also worth checking what your travel insurance covers when you travel for planned medical treatment.

How do I contact the clinic to plan my visit?

WhatsApp is the easiest way to reach us from abroad: +90 532 363 49 54, for both messages and calls. Within Türkiye, you can also call 444 9 734. For an overview of the whole process, from the first message to follow-up, see dental treatment in Türkiye.

Frequently asked questions

Can I fly home the day after treatment?

For simple treatment this is often possible, but it is wise to leave a spare day for final checks and adjustments. After implant surgery or extractions, ask your dentist when it is suitable to fly; after procedures near the sinus you may be advised to wait longer.

Is the clinic open at weekends?

The clinic is open on Saturdays from 10:00 to 19:00 (Türkiye time) and closed on Sundays. On weekdays it is open from 10:00 to 22:00.

Can I start treatment on the day I arrive?

The first appointment is usually the examination, and treatment begins once the final plan is agreed. Because the clinic is open until 22:00 on weekdays, an evening appointment may be possible on your arrival day; confirm timings with us in advance.

Should I send X-rays before booking flights?

It is a good idea. A preliminary review of your photos and X-rays helps you understand whether one or two trips are likely before you commit to travel dates.
